GetEducated.com ranked University of Maryland University College (UMUC) programs favorably on a new college affordability list. Six of UMUC’s business and management undergraduate degree programs were ranked 16th in the organization’s lists of “Best Buy” online programs.

Fifty-five students in the IT Academy at Fairmont Heights H.S. in Prince George’s County, Maryland, visited UMUC on Friday, January 31. The students presented some of the work they are doing at the IT Academy but also enjoyed a day full of sessions and hands-on activities organized by UMUC faculty concerning various aspects of cyber security.

Moderator Marvin Kalb and guest Thomas L. Friedman, the three—time Pulitzer Prize—winning columnist and author, will discuss the evolving intersection of national security and freedom of the press.
