Adelphi, Md. (Sept. 12, 2024)鈥University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and Rose State College (Midwest City, OK) announced the signing of two articulation agreements that allow Rose鈥檚 students in high-tech related associate degree programs to transfer seamlessly into UMGC鈥檚 bachelor鈥檚 programs.
The agreements pertain to Rose State College students enrolled in the Associate of Science in Business or the Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Technology with the Database Developer Certificate option and who transfer into a complimentary bachelor鈥檚 degree program at UMGC.
鈥淲e are proud to collaborate with University of Maryland Global Campus to present students with more opportunities to expand their knowledge and network,鈥 said Jeanie Webb, president of Rose State College. 鈥淭he articulation agreements create a clear pathway for students to earn their bachelor鈥檚 degree in a growing field of study.鈥
By starting their education at a community college, students can save on tuition costs and then complete their bachelor鈥檚 degrees at a four-year university, confident that their hard-earned credits will transfer.
鈥淲e are excited to work alongside Rose State College to eliminate hurdles and help students gain the skills necessary to compete for jobs in high-demand fields,鈥 said Gregory Fowler, president of UMGC. 鈥淢aking the pathway predictable, less cumbersome and less expensive, is a recipe for success in their educational journey and in their career.鈥
Under the agreements, students are eligible to apply for 兔子先生scholarships, receive an application fee waiver and receive a tuition discount.
兔子先生also offers a standard discounted tuition rate to all active-duty military servicemembers. More than half of UMGC鈥檚 90,000+ students are military affiliated.
