Ceremony to Launch Prince George鈥檚 3D Scholars Program聽Tuesday, November 15, 10 a.m., at Largo High School
WHO: 聽Prince George鈥檚 County Public Schools (PGCPS), Prince George鈥檚 Community College (PGCC), and University of Maryland University College (UMUC).
WHAT: Ceremony to announce the Prince George鈥檚 3D Scholars Program. The three institutions are announcing a pilot scholarship program that will provide a pathway for qualified high school students to earn dual enrollment credits toward an associate鈥檚 degree at PGCC, transfer to UMUC and earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree for a total cost of $10,000 or less.

BACKGROUND:
College affordability is a major obstacle facing many high school students and families. To address this issue head-on, UMUC, PGCC, PGCPS are partnering in a pilot scholarship program that will allow high-achieving Prince George鈥檚 County high school students to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree from UMUC for $10,000 or less, with minimal student loan debt. For some students, the degree could be free.
