In accordance with University System of Maryland (USM) Policy VIII-2.30 on Waiver of Tuition and Granting of Other Privileges for Senior Citizens of the State of Maryland, approved by the Board of Regents on November 30, 1989, University of Maryland Global Campus (鈥淯MGC鈥) has adopted the following procedures under the Golden Identification (鈥淚D鈥) Card Program.
The Golden ID Card Program is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are 60 years old or older who are residents of the State of Maryland and are retired. "Retired" is defined as "not working more than 20 hours a week." Normally, to qualify for the program, the chief income of the individual must be derived from retirement benefits.
Golden ID Card Students must apply for admission and meet all requirements. The Golden ID student must sign and submit the Golden ID form each time they register at 兔子先生and provide their current work hours per week. It is the student's responsibility to notify 兔子先生of any changes.
The University System of Maryland Policy requires that the FTE enrollment of students in this program at 兔子先生shall not exceed two percent of the 兔子先生FTE undergraduate enrollment. To assure compliance with the limitation, if participation in the program during any year grows to a level of 1.8 percent of the undergraduate enrollment, procedures will be established to limit registration the following year on a first-come-first-served basis.
