Policy 210.19 Registration

  1. Purpose

    1. The purpose of the Registration Policy is to outline the registration process for all ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉústudents.

  2. Scope

    1. This policy applies to all ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉústudents.

    2. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúconforms to the Board of Regents Policy III-2.30 Policy on Eligibility to Register, approved on February 22, 1990.

    3. This policy does not cover course Drops and/or Withdrawals. Students who wish to drop or withdraw from one or more courses shall follow the procedures published in  Policy 170.72 Course Drop and Withdrawal.

  3. Policy

    1. Registration

      1. Students may not attend courses for which they have not registered.

      2. Students may not register for courses in which scheduled meeting times overlap in full or in part.

      3. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúStateside Student Registration

        1. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAdelphi students are encouraged to consult their Academic Advisor before registering.

        2. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAdelphi students may register for courses by speaking to an Advisor, in person, by e-mail or online via MyÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú. MyÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúis available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at MyUMGC. Help with technical issues is available online at the Help Center or by phone at 800-888-8682. Registration forms are also available in the printed Schedule of Classes.

        3. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAdelphi students may register for courses offered online, hybrid, or on-site by their home campus. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAdelphi students may not register for on-site or online courses offered overseas as those courses are offered under contracts with the military and intended to serve that population.

      4. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúEurope and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAsia Student Registration

        1. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúEurope and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAsia students are encouraged to consult their Academic Advisor before registering.

        2. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúEurope and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAsia students may register for courses in person or online via MyÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú.

    2. Students currently attending through ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúEurope or ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAsia are eligible to enroll in the courses offered by their home campus and overseas online courses. They may also register for online courses offered via ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAdelphi.

      Changes in Registration

      1. The student is responsible to initiate all changes of registration. Faculty members do not have the authority or responsibility to increase seat count or initiate or accept changes in registration or withdrawals.

        1. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAdelphi students may initiate changes in person, by e-mail, or through their student portal and MyÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúWeb registration.

        2. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúEurope and ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAsia students may request changes by email, Web registration or at their local ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúfield office.

      2. Deadlines and procedures for registration changes are published each term.

  4. Placement Tests

    1. The student is responsible for arranging necessary placement tests and ensuring that the results of the placement test are received prior to the course start date.

    2. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAdelphi undergraduate students may arrange placement exams with the Faculty and Distance Education Services office or through their local Field Representative Offices. Students located near the Largo Student Services Center can either go in person to the Largo Test Center or schedule their placement exam via the Distance Education Services office.

    3. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúEurope students may arrange placement exams at their local ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúField Office. ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúAsia students may arrange placement exams with their local Enrollment Specialist Offices or ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉúComputer lab.
